The online course comprises 05 units, covering: (i) Sources of international law; (ii) International Law of the Sea; (iii) International Organizations; (iv) Peaceful settlement of international disputes; and (v) State responsibility in International Law.
Upon completion of the course, students are able to analyze fundamental concepts, principles, and rules of public international law, and examine their application in concrete international contexts. Students can distinguish and evaluate legal issues arising in specific areas such as the international law of the sea, the law of international organizations, and the peaceful settlement of international disputes, thereby forming reasoned legal assessments based on relevant international legal sources.
In addition, this online course strengthens generic professional skills such as legal research and writing skill. The course fosters respect for the rule of international law and the ethical standards of the international legal profession. It also promotes self-discipline, independent learning, and critical thinking, thereby supporting lifelong learning and adaptability in an increasingly globalized legal environment.
